With 30km of fun-packed singletrack mountain bike routes just off the main A96 Inverness – Aberdeen road, there’s something here to feed the monster in everyone!

The Moray Monster Trails work as three independent sites, but you can join them up in any way you want as all the sites link to each other. For those with a truly monster appetite and stamina to match, try all three sites end to end, from Fochabers to Craigellachie.

Ordiequish, 1km from Fochabers, is the trailhead for 4 routes and a skills area: The Soup Dragon (Blue) starts with a climb, but is well worth the effort (and you can add on the Dragon’s Tail intermediate section for an extra challenge); Gordzilla and The Haggis, our flowing blue routes; The Gully Monster (Black) is our technical, severe challenge; and the Skills Area is where you can hone your technique before hitting the trails.

Moray Monster TrailsAt the Winding Walks car park, lie the Whiteash trails: The Fochabers Ring (Red), is 8km of varied and full-on cross country riding; and the Fochabers Freeride (Black) is our ultimate challenge – really technical northshore, wild and scary riding, where it all started – for advanced riders only!

At Ben Aigan, by Craigellachie, you’ll find The Hammer (Red), a long, big hit ride around the summit of Ben Aigan with stunning views of the Spey valley, big earth features and board walk sections; the Mast Blast (Red), a rushing downhill just beyond the big transmitter mast, with the optional Spin City follow-on singletrack switchbacks; and the Pink Fluffy Bunny (Black), a thumper of a downhill.
