Laggan Wolftrax

Run with the pack at Laggan Wolftrax! Set in the outstanding natural highland beauty of Strathmashie Forest, Wolftrax provides the thrills of a big-and-bermy blue grade Fun Park, a fast red grade route packed with features and a very technical ‘double diamond’ black grade route for serious mountain bike enthusiasts.

The Fun park is a moderate, 3.2km blue-graded trail. Novices can trundle or freewheel from top to bottom, but more skilled riders will rip up this route and find ‘big air’ opportunities all the way down! Not recommended for very young children.

Designed to be fast and flowing but red-graded as difficult, the 6.6km red route is narrower than the Fun Park, with many built-in features to test the intermediate biker’s skills.

The ‘double diamond’ black route (graded black - severe difficulty) is 7.8km of tight, singletrack trail – with no chicken runs! Watch out for serious drop offs, boulder fields with names like the ‘Stilletto Staircase’ and rock slabs aplenty!

Visit the Laggan pages of the forestry commission website for more information on the Laggan trails.
